I was born in Shanghai, China.

I went through high school and college in New York and Boston. I then worked in Hong Kong for two years before returning to New York to pursue my MFA degree. I proudly view myself as a citizen of the world who love to learn about new places and cultures.

I have traveled extensively in North America, Europe and Asia. My husband is an avid amateur photographer. Together we explore and record the rich diversities of life in our photos, drawings and paintings.

My other passion is sports. I play volleyball, basketball, tennis, squash. I also do a lot cycling, hiking and swimming. Most recently I finished a 100-kilometer hike in Hong Kong's New Territories in 27 hours. I love the physical and mental challenge of sports, as well as the rewards of teamwork.

Family means a lot to me. I have a warm and extended family who has supported me every step of my growth. Even though we spread across North America, China and Singapore, we are constantly connected by our love of each other. I draw tremendous inspiration and strength from such close bonds.
